My favorite season has arrived! Today, September 23, is officially the first day of fall and I'm thrilled!! Goodbye summer. Hello autumn. Being from Vermont there isn't any other season that compares. The foliage here is a renowned attraction for tourist, which locals refer to as leave peepers. It is funny that people travel to our state just to look at leaves, but that just goes to prove how splendid this season is.
Besides what beautiful mother nature has to offer during this time of year, so many other great things go along with the start of fall. First, the fashion options are way more comfy and in my opinion adorable. Goodbye to all those unfortunate crop tops. That is a trend that I hope is disregarded by next spring. Say hello to leggings, oversized sweaters, and tall boots! Layering just gives way more choices to be able to play around with to really show off your individual style. The shocks, and jackets, scarfs, being able to wear skinny jeans without chafing. Not to mention with the delightfully crisp chill in the air you don't have to worry about armpit/under-boob sweat, and all your makeup melting off your face just by walking out the door. I don't know how people live in places that is constantly hot year around. It's so much more difficult to look cute.
There is too much that fall has to offer so let me just make a list:
- Halloween is around the corner
- Enjoying Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte
- Sitting by the fire and reading a book
- Cozying up under the duvet and snuggling is just better
- Pumpkin ale beers
- Pumpkin carving
- Apple picking
- Apple & Pumpkin pies
- Corn Maze adventures
- Eating more of everything |so long bikini season|
- Great TV show premiers |American Horror Story, Scandal, Scream Queens|
- Extra hour of sleep with daylight savings
I could go on, but I think I've made my point.
